Hi from everyone in our team who produce the Race the Waves weekend in Bridlington. Together, we create our alternative motoring / visitor attraction influenced by the historical use of Yorkshire’s tidal beaches for motor speed-trials & racing. BACKFIRE’s ‘Race The Waves’ beach-race combines influences from the earliest years of Coastal motor racing with the Post War American Hot-Rodders and drag racing culture.
Our journey from a one-day event in 2018 is impressive and especially so considering we are a group of amateur & aging motoring enthusiasts with no previous experience in event organising.
